THE DOWRY (LA DODDE)
This document goes back to the beginning of the 1950's.
In Fallo then it was still the custom to "write the dowry". This was a list of the possessions received in dowry by the newlyweds and which included even eventual gifts given by their parents.
The person that comprised the list of presents made also an appraisal of the value of each of them.
In the document shown here the bride receives 985,000.00 lire.
